Susan Bradley-Cox Tri for Sight Triathlon/Duathlon
The Susan Bradley-Cox Tri for Sight is held at The Club at UK's Spindletop Hall in Lexington, Kentucky. This USAT-sanctioned multisport event offers several race formats including triathlon, duathlon, aqua-bike, and aqua-run. The event takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, and features courses that utilize the scenic landscape of Kentucky's horse country.
Participants can choose from the following event formats:
- Triathlon: 400-meter swim, 12.6-mile bike, and 3-mile run.
- Duathlon: 2-mile run, 12.6-mile bike, and 3-mile run.
- Aqua-Bike: 400-meter swim and 12.6-mile bike.
- Aqua-Run: 400-meter swim and 3-mile run.
Specific categories are available for individual athletes, including Clydesdale and Athena divisions, as well as relay teams for coed, male, and female groups. Participation is limited to 280 athletes for the triathlon and aqua-bike, 72 for the duathlon, and 60 for the aqua-run.
The triathlon swim occurs in a heated outdoor pool with a time trial start at 15-second intervals. The initial duathlon run follows a flat and fast path near Spindletop Hall. The bike segment for both events follows a 12.6-mile route on low-traffic roads located east of the Kentucky Horse Park. Aqua-bike timing ceases when the athlete re-enters the transition area after the bike portion. Aqua-run participants begin their swim after the final triathlon and aqua-bike athletes have exited the pool. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
