TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon
TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon take place at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California. The courses use the park lake for the swim, a road bike course, and a dirt trail run. The venue address is 14440 Twin Cities Blvd, Herald, CA 95638. The park offers camping and the lake’s summertime water temperature is in the 70s.
Event race formats and distances:
- TRI for FUN: 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, 3 mile run
- DU for FUN: 1 mile run, 16 mile bike, 3 mile run
All racers receive a TFF finisher item and post-race refreshments. Awards are presented for the triathlon in 10-year age groups and for the duathlon to the top five overall male and female finishers. Relay awards are given to the top three teams in Coed, Female, and Male divisions. Other divisions include Athena, Clydesdale, and Challenged.
Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $20 when ordered before August 4. Packet pickup is on race morning from 6:30 - 8:30 am at the race site. Park entry is closed from 7:30 - 8:00 am for a youth event; vehicles may park and walk in about one mile or wait until the road reopens.
TBF Racing has a no refund policy; refunds requested before race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between TBF events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee; credits and transfers are not given during race week. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
