TRI for FUN Triathlon #1 at Rancho Seco Park
The TRI for FUN Triathlon #1 takes place on June 6, 2027 at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California. It is the first of three races in the TRI for FUN Series, with additional events on July 11 and August 8. The series is presented in its 44th year.
The event uses the park lake for the swim, a road course for the bike, and dirt trails for the run. Distances include:
- TRI for FUN Triathlon: 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, 3 mile run
- DU for FUN Duathlon: 1 mile run, 16 mile bike, 3 mile run
Relay teams are offered for the triathlon. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each 10-year age group for the triathlon and to the top three relay teams in three divisions: Coed, Female, Male.
All racers receive race day TBF swag, a TRI for FUN finisher medal, and post race refreshments. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $20 if ordered before June 1. Race packets are available on race morning at the site. There is a $15 park entrance fee per vehicle. The organizer operates a volunteer program that provides a $50 volunteer voucher for four hour shifts. The event has a no refund policy; pre-race credits are available minus a $25 processing fee and transfers are allowed within one year with a $25 transfer fee. Events are held rain or shine.
