About the race
Tri for Evan is a family-friendly event held in Calgary, Alberta, featuring a sprint triathlon and duathlon with options for individuals and teams. The sprint triathlon includes a 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run, while the duathlon consists of a 2.5km run, 20km bike, and 5km run. A kids' triathlon offers a fun, non-competitive race with a 50m swim, 2km cycle, and 400m run.
Participants receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, post-race lunch, and beer, with extra goodies for children. The event supports MitoCanada, raising awareness and funds for mitochondrial disease research. It takes place at 25048 Lott Creek Drive and includes an open water swim clinic before race day.
