About the Event
The Get Shit Done Run is an annual sporting event held in Calgary at Nose Creek Pathway and Bottomlands Park, located near Telus Spark at 425 St Georges Dr NE. The event is open to runners, joggers, and walkers, offering a variety of road race distances.
The competition features a lap-based course structure:
- 21.1 km: a two-lap course of 10.5 km each.
- 10 km: a single 10 km lap course.
- 5 km: a single 5 km lap course.
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available. The event provides course markings and aid stations to support participants during their run. Pacers are also utilized during the races, including specific support for the 5 km distance.
The race site includes several amenities for participant recovery and refreshments. Sports massage therapists are on-site to provide free 15-minute consultations and treatments both before and after the event. Additionally, athletic therapists offer mini-treatments for participants dealing with pain or injuries. Local vendors provide food and beverages, including specialty coffee, snacks, and pretzels at the finish area. All finishers receive a medal and event-specific swag.
