About the race

The Get Shit Done Run takes place on April 25, 2027, at Bottomlands Park beside Telus Spark in Calgary. The event offers multiple race distances and a virtual option for participants who cannot attend in person.

Distances:

  • 21.1 km half marathon
  • 10 km
  • 5 km
  • Virtual option for 5 km, 10 km or 21.1 km

Registration is nonrefundable. Registrants may roll over an entry to 2028 for CA$30 if done before April 1, 2027. After April 1 there are no rollovers; transfers to another racer are available for CA$15 up to April 24, 2027 at 11am. Participants may transfer to a shorter distance for free or to a longer distance by paying the price difference, subject to the same deadline. Switching to the virtual event is allowed up to April 24, 2027; if switching after April 15 the participant must pick up their package in person.

Package pickup is offered in the days before the race at Plintz Real Estate (338 24 Ave SW) and at the race site on race morning. Packages are not available outside the published pickup periods; late pickup incurs a CA$20 fee. Friends or family may pick up a package on behalf of a racer.

The event is cup-less; runners must bring a reusable cup. On-course aid stations and porta potties are placed at specific kilometer markers for each distance. There is an unofficial bag drop at the start/finish that is not supervised. Bibs must be visible on the front and contain a microchip for official timing by Startline Timing; do not bend the bib. Dogs are not allowed on course. Strollers are permitted; on-course hydration and finish cookies are for registered racers only.

Finish-line food includes a dairy-free pretzel for finishers and a gluten-free option for those declared at registration. Tuesday Brewing non-alcoholic beer, water and electrolytes will be available. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in each distance; a non-binary podium will be held if there are sufficient participants in that category. Parking at Telus Spark is available for CA$12. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
