Get Shit Done Run 2026 : event overview
The Get Shit Done Run takes place on April 26, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta at Bottomlands Park / 220 Saint Georges Drive Northeast (beside Telus Spark). The event offers road/pathway race options and a virtual option. Distances available:
- 21.1 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Virtual: 5 km, 10 km, or 21.1 km (completed between April 24 and May 4, 2026)
The courses are described as fairly flat and use shared pathways. The event is cup-less: each runner receives a reusable race cup for on-course hydration.
Logistics, services and policies
Hydration and nutrition stations are placed on each course. For the 21.1 km course there are stations at about 5 km, 10 km and 16 km (water, electrolytes; gels and coke at the 10 km and 16 km stations). The 10 km course has a station at 5 km (water and electrolytes). The 5 km course has a station at 2.5 km (water). Porta potties will be available at the start/finish area and at the 5 km turnaround; the 21.1 km course has an additional porta potty near its out-and-back turnaround.
Timing is chip-based on the race bib. Bibs must be visible on the front while on course. An unofficial bag drop will be available at the start/finish area; items must fit inside a small bag. Dogs are not allowed on course; strollers are permitted. Pacers are provided for each distance at listed target times. Awards will be presented to the top three men and top three women in each distance; a non-binary podium will be used if there are sufficient participants. Registration is non-refundable; rollovers and transfers are allowed under stated fees and deadlines. Parking is available at Telus Spark (fee applies).
