Event overview
The Get Shit Done Run takes place in Calgary on April 26, 2026, with in-person and virtual options. The event offers the following distances:
- 21.1 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
All three in-person courses are described as fairly flat. A virtual event option runs between April 24 and May 4, 2026; participants choose their distance and submit a time to the virtual leaderboard.
Logistics, services and rules
Package pick-up is scheduled on specific days before the event and a limited late pick-up window is available at the race site on race morning; late pickups after the race start incur a fee. The start/finish site is Bottomlands Park (St Georges Drive NE). Parking is available at Telus Spark for a fee. There is an unofficial bag drop at the start/finish area; items are not formally supervised.
Aid stations and on-course support: the race is cup-less and provides reusable hydra cups to participants. Water, electrolytes and select nutrition are provided at designated kilometre marks on each course; the 21.1 km course has three stocked stations, the 10 km has one station at 5 km, and the 5 km has one station at 2.5 km. Porta potties are located at start/finish, the 5 km turnaround, and an additional point on the 21.1 km route.
Rules and timing: official timing uses a microchip on the back of the bib; bibs must be visible on the front while on course. Dogs are not allowed on course. Strollers are permitted. Music may be used with earbuds only and must not be audible to others. Awards are given to the top three men and women in each distance; a non-binary podium will be used if participation meets the event threshold.
