Run for L'Arche
Run for L'Arche is an annual community event that raises funds for L'Arche Calgary and celebrates inclusion and friendship in support of people with intellectual disabilities. In 2026 the event marked its 16th year and remained L'Arche Calgary’s largest fundraiser.
The 2026 Run for L’Arche took place on April 11 at Confluence Plaza, St. Patrick’s Island. That year the event recorded approximately 470 registered participants and raised more than $60,000. Corporate partners supported the effort, including Hudson Advisory Group, ScotiaMcLeod, and several local sponsors.
Routes used in 2026 followed pathways along the Bow River and began and finished at Confluence Plaza, St. Patrick’s Island (1300 12 St NE, Calgary). Distances offered included:
- 3 km route
- 5 km route
- 10 km route
- Half marathon route
Proceeds from the Run for L’Arche support L’Arche Calgary programs and independent living services for over 100 people. The event received local media coverage and is presented as both a community gathering and a fundraiser that connects participants, donors, volunteers, and sponsors in support of L’Arche Calgary’s mission.
