Event overview
The 2026 Big Cross Frozen Tundra takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Pasco, WA at the Big Cross cross country course (3700 Rd 36). The event offers two race options with paid entry and a fixed field size of up to 120 participants per race. Registration pricing is listed at $20 per event, with a price increase scheduled after December 31, 2025. In-person registration is available at Pasco City Hall Recreation Services until Thursday, January 29.

Course and logistics
The course is a 2.5-mile loop on woodchip, dirt and gravel trails; 5-mile participants complete two circuits. The route includes four larger hill climbs and descents plus smaller hills and flat sections. Packet pickup will take place the morning of the race at the check-in tent near the start line; bibs are organized by race distance and last name and must be worn on the front of the outer layer. A printed course poster will be available on site.
Other information
Teams and team uniforms are encouraged for atmosphere; team scores will not be tracked. Spectators must remain in designated areas and avoid crossing the course. Volunteers are requested for set-up and course monitoring. All participants, spectators and volunteers should stay home if sick. All entrants receive a race logo giveaway item.
