Trek the Creek 5K - Event overview
The Trek the Creek 5K is the annual memorial run/walk held on September 12, 2026 in Francis Creek, Wisconsin. The event takes place at Pla-Mor Park and prominently features the Devil's River State Recreational Trail. The course is USATF certified and the event is presented by the local Lions Club.
The event distance is 5K. Proceeds benefit local community groups and programs, including Francis Creek first responders, the fire department, Pink Heals, the OH Schultz Elementary backpack program, and diabetes and eyesight awareness efforts. Children are welcome.
A virtual option is offered that allows participants to complete the event at a time and place of their choosing. Virtual participants are not eligible for medals; a race packet that includes a t-shirt will be shipped to those who select the virtual option.
This event continues the original run as a memorial effort and combines Trek the Creek with the Crick Crossing event to maintain the annual tradition and community support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
