The 5th Annual Tree Hugger Trail Run at Goodell Gardens takes place on May 2, 2026, in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. The event is based at Goodell Gardens & Homestead, 221 Waterford Street, Edinboro, PA 16412. It includes a main trail event and a separate kids race. Registration for both events opens on December 1, 2025. The listed entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Run. Members of Goodell Gardens receive a $5 discount with code MEMBER2025.
Course, format and awards
The main course is approximately 5K (3.1 miles) and uses a mix of surfaces: soft soil, woodland trails, open fields, boardwalk paths, and sections with on-site art. Organizers note that the course is a true trail event and that conditions may be muddy; the final course and exact length will be determined in spring based on trail conditions. The Kids Run is about 0.75 miles.
Gates open with registration and packet pickup before the races. Awards include a native tree for the top overall runners (two winners), handmade "tree-cookie" medals for age category champions, wooden finisher tokens for all participants, and a special medal for Kids Race finishers.
