Trawsfynydd Lake Race (SSSART Multi Terrain 8.6 mile)
The event is a multi terrain trail race around Trawsfynydd lake in Eryri / Snowdonia National Park, starting from the Magnox Power Station area. The course is mostly fast with one challenging hill and runs over mixed tarmac and trail surfaces. The race is organised under Welsh Athletics / UK Athletics rules.
All proceeds are in aid of the South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team. The team is run entirely by volunteers and operates as a charity that depends on public donations; funds raised by the race will contribute to its work.
Key event details include chip timing, full marshalling and water stations on course. Entrants collect race numbers and timing chips on the day. The event is open to athletes aged 17 and over and is limited to a maximum of 400 runners. Participants receive a commemorative coaster. Entry fees are noted as early bird and standard tiers with a UK Athletics member discount; the listed top price is £26.
