Trawsfynydd Lake Race

Trawsfynydd Lake Race is a multi-terrain running event held on 19 April 2026 around Trawsfynydd Lake in Eryri / Snowdonia National Park. The main route is a mostly fast course on mixed tarmac and trail, with one challenging hill. The event is run under Welsh Athletics / UK Athletics rules.

The race starts by the Magnox Power Station Car Park (grid reference SH69052 37960, postcode LL41 4DT). It is open to athletes aged 17 and over and is limited to a maximum of 400 runners. The main race is chip timed; competitors collect number and chip on the day. The course is fully marshalled and includes water stations. All proceeds support the South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team, a volunteer-run charity operating locally.

Entry fees listed include early-bird rates (until 22 April 2025) and standard rates: early-bird £20 UKA affiliated / £22 non affiliated; then £24 UKA affiliated / £26 non affiliated. A small commemorative coaster is provided to participants.
