Event overview

The Traverse City Trail Running Festival takes place May 8-9, 2026 in Traverse City, Michigan. Races use trails in the Pere Marquette Forest and start and finish at the Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort. The festival begins Friday evening with a two-person 10K relay and a 5K. Saturday features individual trail races and a 100K relay. Charity bib options are available for several longer distances.

The festival provides a unisex event T-shirt and a wooden finisher medal. Aid stations are described as well-stocked, especially for the 50K, 75K, and 100K races. Finisher food varies by distance: 5K and 10K receive a buffet of snack options; 25K and longer receive buffet items plus mac and cheese and vegetarian chili. Post-race offerings include snacks, beverages, fire pits, and yard games. Professional race timing is provided by Race Day Events and free participant tracking is available via RaceJoy.
