Event overview
The Traprock races take place at Penwood State Park in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The event on Saturday, April 18, 2026, offers two race distances:
- 50K
- 17K
The course is a loop of approximately 10.5 to 11 miles per loop. The 17K consists of one loop and the 50K of three loops. The course is rolling with about 50% technical single track on the Metacomet Trail; the remainder is double-track. Trail surfaces include rolling forest roads and single track that can be extremely rocky. The 50K has a nine hour cutoff. Chip timing will be used in 2026. The race is cupless, so participants are expected to bring their own cup or handheld bottle. A course map is available on AllTrails.
