The Traprock 50 takes place on Saturday, Apr 18, 2026, at Penwood State Park in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Distances offered:

Registration closes Wed, Apr 15. Once the race reaches capacity, a waitlist begins; runners are selected from the waitlist in registration order and have two days to accept a spot when offered. A race tech shirt is available for separate purchase. The event uses chip timing for 2026. The race is part of the Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series.
Course and logistics
The course is a loop of approximately 10.5 to 11 miles per loop. The 17K uses one loop and the 50K uses three loops. The route is roughly 50% technical single-track on the Metacomet Trail, with the remainder on double-track, rolling forest roads, or single track. Some sections can be extremely rocky. The 50K has a 9-hour cutoff.
The race is cupless; participants should bring their own cup or handheld bottle. The course map is available on AllTrails. Event organizers are the CT Trailmixers, a volunteer, non-profit trail running club. Race proceeds will support local organizations, including the Simsbury Land Trust and the Connecticut Forest & Parks Association. Cancellation policy: 50% refund for cancellations before Mar 1, no refunds after that date; no bib transfers and no deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
