Tinsel Fun Run - Berlin
The 42nd annual Tinsel Fun Run is presented by the New Britian YMCA and Berlin Parks and Recreation. The event takes place on December 5, 2026 at Berlin High School, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin, CT 06037. The running event is a 2 Mile run.
Online registration opens September 3, 2026. Entry fees follow a tiered schedule: $35 until October 31, $40 from November 1 to November 30, and $45 from December 1 through race day. The first 75 people who register by October 31 will receive a Tinsel Fun Run t-shirt on race day.
Awards are given by age category and gender. Age categories include 10 and under, 11 to 13, 14 to 18, 19 to 25, 26 to 33, 34 to 41, 42 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. The top three male and female finishers in each category will receive awards. A special award will be given to the top male and top female Berlin residents.
Holiday costumes are encouraged and individuals or groups may be chosen to win a gift card. Raffle prizes will be offered after the race and winners must be present. All runners will receive a refreshment bag with post race treats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
