CLA Blue Back Mitten Run
The CLA Blue Back Mitten Run is an annual community 5K held in West Hartford. The 5K is a 3.1-mile road race that winds through decorated neighborhoods and past festive shop windows. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
5K participants receive a holiday-inspired beanie and post-race holiday cookies in Blue Back Square.

- HMF FitKids 1/2 mile dash for children
- HMF FitKids 1 mile dash for children ages 2-11
The event is part of the Sleigh the Ks holiday challenge that pairs this 5K with other seasonal races, with cumulative awards that have included a long-sleeved shirt, a sweatshirt for the 12Ks of Christmas, and an event ornament.
A membership program called HMF Milestone offers member perks including a custom birthday gift, personalized bibs for select events when registered in advance, and access to member-only wait lists. An enhanced Milestone+ membership provides additional paid benefits such as specialty apparel, extra loyalty rewards, and one Mail My Packet service at select premier events.
