Trailrun Terschelling - information
Trailrun Terschelling takes place on 28 February 2027 and is the 11th edition. The event is routed across the island with forests, dunes and beaches as the main terrain types. Routes are clearly marked with ribbons and volunteers are positioned at some locations to point the way.
Distances offered:
- 10 km - for runners new to trailrunning
- 15 km - requires some trail experience
- 25 km - intended for experienced trailrunners
The organization asks participants at registration to provide an estimated finish time to help avoid congestion on the routes. Participant limits apply: 10 km 250, 15 km 425, 25 km 325. Timing is electronic with a chip attached to the start number; both net and gross times are recorded and the system has battery backup. All participants receive a medal.
Practical details include cloakrooms at Hotel Boschrijck and a place to leave bags at MooiWeer on own responsibility. The start and finish are at MooiWeer, Sportlaan 9, West-Terschelling. Bikes may not be used to guide runners. Dogs are not permitted. There are prizes in kind for the top three finishers on each distance; no cash prizes. The organization may modify routes or cancel parts of the event in case of extreme weather without refund. Cancellation before 29 January 2027 is refundable minus €5 administration fee; after that date no refund is possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
