Urban Trail Series
The Urban Trail Series is a set of trail running events organised by Trail Outlaws, held at Biddick Academy, NE38 8AL, and other local trail locations. The series offers marked and marshalled courses intended to let runners either race or enjoy local trails.
Course distance options in the series include:
- 5K route options.
- 10K route options.
- 10 mile (10M) route options.
- Half Marathon route options.
Entry fees for individual events are listed between £20.00 and £32.00 depending on the race. It is possible to enter the entire series; season entries are offered with a discount and include a free presentation evening later in the year. Prizes are awarded to the winners of each race.
Races are run on varied trail terrain and are organised as in-person events. Routes are described as fully marked and marshalled to assist participants. The series comprises multiple scheduled races across the season, including specific named events such as Durham Trail, Branches & Bays, and Penshaw races with a range of distances and entry prices.
