Trail Loppet

Trail Loppet is an urban trail running event held in Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. The event includes multiple race distances and a festival atmosphere at the Trailhead.

All races start at Wirth Beach and finish at the Trailhead. Parking is available at the Mortenson parking lot and shuttle buses run to the start line. Biking, walking, or taking local transit to the Trailhead are noted as alternatives; extra bike racks will be available.

Fluid stations on course provide Tailwind electrolyte drink and water, with portable toilets at stations. The Half Marathon has four fluid stations and one station will offer electrolyte gels. The 10K and 5K have two fluid stations.

Packet pickup is offered at Pryes Brewing, at The Trailhead, and at Wirth Beach; event shirts are distributed at packet pickup. A bag drop is available at the start and bags will be transported to the finish.

Training plans are available for each distance: a 10 week plan for the Half Marathon, an 8 week plan for the 10K, and a 6 week plan for the 5K. Athlete tracking is supported through the Mtec Results app for the Half Marathon and the 10K.

Awards are given to the top three overall men, women, and non-binary finishers in each race. Proceeds benefit the Loppet Foundation. Registration fees and processing fees are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
