Trail Loppet
Trail Loppet is an urban trail running event and festival held in Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. The event offers multiple race distances on park trails and includes a finish-line festival with music and a complimentary Pryes Brewing drink for participants.
Race distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The Half Marathon has five fluid stations and supplies Gu or Honey Stinger gels at the Quaking Bog and Bryn Mawr stations. The 10K and 5K each have two fluid stations. Portable toilets are available at all fluid stations.
Packet pickup includes event shirts, and registering by September 1 guarantees the special event shirt. A bag drop is available at the start; bags are transported to the finish. Awards are given to the top three overall men, women, and non-binary finishers in each distance. Volunteers receive race swag and one complimentary beverage with valid ID.
Transportation guidance mentions parking at the Mortenson Parking Lot with shuttle service from the finish back to the Trailhead and Mortenson, plus extra bike racks and a nearby bus stop on route 7. Athlete tracking is available via the Mtec Results app for select distances. Training plans of varying lengths are provided, and proceeds benefit the Loppet Foundation.
