Trail and Ale 2026

Trail and Ale is held in Sarnia, Ontario, utilizing the Howard Watson Trail and Blackwell Trails. This event offers multiple distances for both runners and walkers, with live and virtual participation options available. The course heads north from the Michigan Avenue trail entrance, dipping into the Blackwell Trails area.

Participants can select from the following distances:

  • 5 km (Run or Walk)
  • 10 km (Run)
  • 15 km (Run)

The live event features electronic chip timing, and participants are provided with timing bibs and ankle straps. For those choosing the virtual format, the run or walk can be completed independently between September 1st and September 18th, with an option to submit times for the competitive rankings. The event check-in and start area is located at 1285 Michigan Ave, with parking provided at the Huron Baptist Church and nearby business lots.

Registered participants aged 19 and older receive one can of local craft beer or a custom mug with their registration. An after-party is scheduled at a local venue following the completion of the races. This event serves as a fundraiser for Rayjon Share Care, helping communities in Haiti and the Dominican Republic with goals in healthcare, education, and women's empowerment.
