Trail and Ale for Rayjon
Trail and Ale is an event organized by Rayjon Share Care on the Howard Watson and Blackwell Trails in Sarnia. The event is presented in person and also offers a virtual participation option for the September 2026 edition.
The live event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The run is timed, and a walk option is available for the 5K only. Runner registration includes one can of craft beer from a local brewing partner and a glass; beer is for participants aged 19 and over. Children aged 14 and under may take part in the 5K run or 5K walk free of charge when accompanied by a registered adult.
Prizes are awarded for the highest fundraising total and for best finish times, divided by Men, Women, and Kids categories for runners and walkers. The after party is hosted at Refined Fool SPORTS in Sarnia. Rayjon Share Care states that proceeds support its programs in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and provides examples of how donations are used: 25 dollars for one week of food for a child, 35 dollars for one month of adult literacy classes, and 75 dollars to seed a woman entrepreneur. The event is held annually in September and has an articulated fundraising goal of 10,000 dollars. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
