About the race
Trail and Ale 2026 is a live and virtual run/walk event held at the Howard Watson Trail with access from the Blackwell Trails entrance at 1285 Michigan Ave, Sarnia, Ontario. The event supports Rayjon Share Care; funds raised assist projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in education, health care and the empowerment of women. The event is listed as the 7th anniversary.
The live event uses chip timing; ankle strap and bib are provided for live participants. Kids 14 and under may participate in the 5K run or walk for free with a registered adult and receive a chip timer and medal only.

A virtual option is available and can be completed in early September; virtual participants may submit finish times for competitive results. Registered participants aged 19 and over receive one can of local craft beer or a beer mug at pickup; the first 200 registered participants aged 19 and over receive a custom beer mug. Race kit pickup is scheduled the day before the live event at Refined Fool Brewery in Sarnia, with morning pickup available on race day. An after-party is planned behind Refined Fool at SPORTS and the location is described as family friendly with non-alcoholic options.
