Chili-Heart 5K Run/2 Mile Walk & Chili Cook-Off : overview
The East China Educational Foundation presents the 15th annual Chili-Heart event on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Saint Clair, Michigan. The event takes place at St. Clair River Elementary School, 4335 Yankee Rd., Saint Clair, MI 48079. The program combines a running/walking event with a community chili cook-off and offers an option for virtual participation or donation. The foundation manages proceeds to benefit East China School District students.

Registration details shown in the event information note a price increase after December 31, 2025 for the 5K, and specific registration end dates in early February 2026 for some events. Virtual participants can pick up a T-shirt and participatory medal the day before the event, on Friday, February 6. Chili cook-off competitors are asked to bring a large crock pot, an extension cord, a surge protector, and a serving spoon; ECEF provides a table, cups, and utensils and assigns setup in the school cafeteria.
