About the Event
The TrackTown Triathlon is a multisport event organized by the University of Oregon Triathlon Team. It takes place at the UO Rec Center in Eugene. The event features multiple race formats, including a standard triathlon, a youth triathlon, relay options for both age groups, an AquaBike (swim and bike), and a Duathlon (run-bike-run). All activities occur within and around the Rec Center facilities.
Race Format and Distances
The event uses an indoor pool for the swim segment and stationary bikes for the cycling portion. The run takes place outdoors. Specific distances are provided for two main events:
- Triathlon and Triathlon Relay: a 300 yd swim, a 4 mi bike, and a 1.5 mi run.
- Youth Triathlon: a 50 yd swim, a 2 mi bike, and a 0.75 mi run.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, requiring participants to have a current USAT membership.
