About the race
Tracks for Packs 5K Run/Walk is an annual fundraiser hosted by Eastside Community Church to benefit the Madison County Backpack Program. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Richmond Centre in Richmond, Kentucky. This is the 15th year the church has hosted the race, and the 2026 presenting sponsor is Chenault Vineyards.
The event features a 3.1 miles run/walk. The Madison County Backpack Program sends home food items such as ravioli, soups, fruit snacks, chips, cereal, popcorn, and other snacks for children who may be hungry over the weekend. The Madison County School with the most participants receives a $500 award.
Registration opens April 15, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Registrations completed before August 31 at midnight include a free t-shirt. Participants may select or create a team so their registration counts toward a Madison County School.
