Track Race Series : Fairway Sandown
Ryde Harriers are hosting a track race series at the Fairway Sandown, PO36 9JH. Races take place approximately once a month during the spring and summer of 2026. Online pre-entry is requested so estimated finish times can be collected; the pre-entry list closes 24 hours before each race. Entry on the day is accepted but online registration is preferred. Non-Ryde Harriers may enter as guests for a contribution of £1.50 payable at number collection. There are no prizes.
The scheduled race dates and distances are:
- 30 April 2026 - 5,000m (15 and over)
- 21 May 2026 - 3,000m (13 and over)
- 25 June 2026 - 10,000m IOW Championship (17 and over)
- 30 July 2026 - 5,000m IOW Championship (15 and over)
- 27 August 2026 - 3,000m (13 and over)
- 24 September 2026 - 1 mile (any age) and 4x400m relay (any age)
Race numbers are collected from the track side cabin and competitors must also register with officials at track side. Club T-shirts or vests are to be worn. UKA Rule 141 S2 maximum track distances by age will apply: U13 not exceeding one mile (but greater than 400m), U15 not exceeding 3000m, U17 not exceeding 5000m, U20 not exceeding 10000m. At this time the races do not have a track licence, so results will not be submitted to Power of 10. Toilets and free parking are available at the venue.
