Hambledon Hilly
Hambledon Hilly is a multi distance trail running event held at Hambledon Vineyard, described in the event details as England's oldest commercial vineyard. The event offers a range of course lengths on estate paths, village lanes and local trails, with timed results and trophies for top finishers.
Distances
- 1 km: footpaths and trails within the Hambledon Vineyard Estate; children may be accompanied.
- 2 km: footpaths and trails within the Hambledon Vineyard Estate; children may be accompanied.
- 5 km: quiet lanes and trails through Hambledon village and the estate.
- 10 km: lanes and trails through Hambledon village and the estate; water station halfway.
- Hambledon Trail 20 km: self sufficient, self navigated, sparse markings and limited marshals.
Race headquarters are in a large marquee behind the vineyard restaurant. Parking is available on the estate and will be directed by marshals. All races are chip timed and participants receive a memento. Trophies are awarded for first, second and third places in the relevant gender categories for each race.
Entry fees are stated per distance and an optional technical event T shirt is offered for an additional fee. The vineyard visitors centre will be open for tours, tasting and dining on the day, and routes will be available to download from the event website.
