Towpath Run 6K
The Towpath Run is a 6K (3.7 mile) point-to-point race and walk held on September 27, 2026, to raise money for the Little Ones Learning Center, a free non-profit early literacy program for children aged 0 to 6. The course runs from Alligerville to Accord along Towpath Road.
The route follows a wooded lane with views of the Catskills and runs up from the historic towpath used during the former D&H Canal era. Accord and Alligerville were former stops on that canal. There is no parking available in Alligerville; all participants are transported by bus from the Accord community area to the start point.
Online registration opens June 22, 2026. Pre-registration through September 23, 2026 is $20; registration from September 24 through the day of the event is $25. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in these age categories: 14 and under, 15-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Additional prize categories include Town of Rochester residents and walkers.
