Event overview
The Tower 2 Tower 5K takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Lenexa, KS (10747 Renner Blvd, 66219). The event is presented as both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K, plus a team registration option. The course runs from WaterOne's water tower to the City of Olathe's water tower and back, covering a 5K distance. The race is held to mark National Drinking Water Week and to support Water for People, a non-profit that provides clean drinking water internationally.

Registration fees listed for the published events include $20 for the in-person 5K, $35 for the virtual 5K, and $15 for team registration. Packet pickup is available at WaterOne's lobby (10747 Renner Blvd., Lenexa) on Thursday, May 1 and on race day. Registrants for the 5K (in-person and virtual) and the Kids 1-Mile receive a t-shirt, reusable water bottle, participation medal, and a race packet; in-person participants are offered free event photos afterward. Awards will be given to overall male and female winners, overall master male and female winners (40+), and top male and female in age groups from 19 & under through 70+.
