Tour de Turns - 15th Annual
Tour de Turns is an annual charity cycling and walking event held at Carmel Middle School on August 22, 2026. The event raises funds for Nourish Up; the organizer states that 100% of the proceeds support that beneficiary.
The course passes through 25 of Charlotte's tree-lined neighborhoods and is organized as an open course. The route is not closed to cars or to other road users, so participants are required to obey local traffic laws. Organizers request that cyclists wear helmets and refrain from listening to music while riding.
The event offers multiple route options for participants and a post-ride gathering with music, food, and family activities. Distances available include:
- Cycling routes from 15 to 37 miles
- Walking route of 3.1 miles
Maps and a schedule are provided by the organizer. The format and open-course nature mean participants share roads with general traffic and must respect outside traffic and signage. The event also lists sponsors and notes community support for the beneficiary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
