About the race
The Tour de Tinsel 5K is a festive nighttime road race held in downtown LaGrange, Georgia. The course runs through historic streets and the town square, passing Lafayette Square twice and the Tinsel Trail, a display of more than one hundred decorated Christmas trees. The start and finish are located on the lawn at Sweetland Amphitheatre, 110 Smith Street.
The race is part of a full weekend of holiday events that includes a tree lighting, a Sip & Shop boutique event, and a post-race after party at Sweetland Amphitheatre. The after party features a DJ, race awards, best costume awards, local vendors, and discounted access to Sweetland On Ice. Ice skating at Sweetland Amphitheatre is available as part of the weekend activities.
Race entry includes a short-sleeved performance t-shirt if registered by November 1, 2026, a race swag bag, access to the after party, and a discount for Sweetland On Ice tickets. Runners are asked to bring a headlamp or flashlight to navigate the course. All race proceeds benefit Circles of Troup County, with 100% of proceeds directed to that nonprofit.
