Tour de Pain
Tour de Pain is a three-race series held at Prominence Business Park in Jacksonville, with start and finish on Liberty Ridge Road. The series can be entered as a single race or as all three events; a finisher medal and series awards are given to participants who complete all three races.
Distances included:
- 4 Mile Run
- 5K Road Race
- Road Mile (two loops of a half-mile course)
Each race is run on roads within Prominence Business Park. The Road Mile is organized in four heats by gender and age categories. Water stations are available on course and light refreshments or post-race food and drink are provided after events. Participants receive a moisture-wicking tank top; prize money is awarded to top finishers in the Tour de Pain series and age-group awards are given based on combined times across all three events. Prize money for the series overall is listed for top finishers and for Masters placements. An awards ceremony follows the final event and finisher medals for those who complete the series are distributed at the Road Mile finish line.
The event supports local high school cross country and track programs, offers summer camp scholarships for high school athletes, and aids construction and maintenance of a new three-mile running trail at Aterro Recreation Park.
