Tour de Dodge
Tour de Dodge is a trail running event held at Governor Dodge State Park in Dodgeville, WI, organized by the Driftless Trail Collective. The event is presented as an annual race that supports local conservation groups, with proceeds split between Friends of Governor Dodge and the Driftless Area Land Conservancy.
Available race distances:
- 50K : approximately 4,000 ft elevation gain, 9-hour cut-off.
- 27K : about 2,500 ft elevation gain, 7-hour cut-off.
- 10K : roughly 900 ft elevation gain, no cut-off.
The 50K course includes five fully stocked aid stations, two of which are visited twice. The 27K has four aid stations and the 10K has one. Portable bathrooms are provided at regular intervals. Aid station offerings follow traditional race fare such as water, soda, peanut butter and jelly, fruit, salty snacks, and candy.
The event takes place during turkey hunting season; participants are advised to wear blaze orange or other high-visibility gear. The race proceeds regardless of rain or snow, though organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the event due to trail conditions, natural disasters, weather, pandemic concerns, or at the request of the Wisconsin DNR or local officials.
Each participant receives a participation item to be determined, and finishers receive a horseshoe finisher medal. Top three finishers in each gender category receive customized versions of the medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
