Event overview

The Tour de Dodge takes place on March 7, 2026, at Governor Dodge State Park in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. The Driftless Trail Collective organizes the event; proceeds are split between the Friends of Governor Dodge and the Driftless Area Land Conservancy. The event is scheduled to run rain, snow, or shine, with the right to modify or cancel due to trail conditions, weather, natural disasters, public-health concerns, or at the request of the Wisconsin DNR or local officials. The race occurs during turkey hunting season, and organizers advise wearing blaze orange or other high-visibility gear.

Courses and race services

The event offers multiple distances with varied elevation gain and time limits:

  • 50K - approximately 4,000 ft elevation gain; 9-hour cut-off
  • 27K - approximately 2,500 ft elevation gain; 7-hour cut-off
  • 10K - approximately 900 ft elevation gain; no cut-off

The 50K course has five fully stocked aid stations (two visited twice). The 27K has four aid stations and the 10K has one aid station. Aid stations will offer water, soda, peanut butter and jelly, fruit, salty snacks, candy, and similar traditional race fare; portable bathrooms will be available at regular intervals. Organizers state the atmosphere will be supportive and inclusive. Each participant receives a custom DTC Silo shoe bag; finishers receive a horseshoe medal, with customized versions for the top three finishers in each gender category. Registration closes March 1, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
