About the race

The Tour de Dodge is a trail running event held at Governor Dodge State Park (Amphitheater Lot), 4175 WI-23, Dodgeville, WI 53533. A Wisconsin State Parks vehicle admission sticker is required for entry.

The event is scheduled for April 17, 2027. The course options and key race statistics are:

• 50K 30.5 miles, 4000 ft elevation gain, 7 aid stations, 9 hour cutoff
• 27K 17.5 miles, 2300 ft elevation gain, 4 aid stations, 7 hour cutoff
• 10K 6 miles, 900 ft elevation gain, 1 aid station, no cutoff

Travel and parking notes: the park is described as roughly 50 minutes west of Madison, 2 hours from La Crosse, and 3 hours from Eau Claire. Parking is in the Amphitheater lot with overflow in the Cox Hollow lot; follow posted signs. Camping is available at Twin Valley Campground within the park and hotels are available in Dodgeville, about a five minute drive from the park.

Logistics and policies: packet pickup begins early for the 50K and about an hour before the shorter races. Registration opens November 1; entry fees are nonrefundable and not transferable. Deferrals to the following year are available for pregnancy, injury, or serious illness. The organizer may modify or cancel the event for safety, trail, weather, or official-request reasons; cancellations do not include refunds and proceeds are designated for The Friends of Governor Dodge and The Driftless Area Land Conservancy.

Safety and race operations: the race occurs during spring turkey hunting season and participants are advised to wear blaze orange or other high-visibility clothing. The event is cupless to reduce waste; a collapsible cup can be purchased for the race. The organizer states an inclusive diversity and gender policy for registration. All registrants receive a custom DTC Silo shoe bag; finishers receive horseshoe medals and top three finishers in each gender category receive customized versions.
