Tour de Brewers XXIV - St. Patrick's Day Edition
Tour de Brewers XXIV is an informal charity event described as a roughly 13K run/ride/brewery crawl. It supports The Dannon Project, a local nonprofit that provides services for employment, health, and family stability in at-risk Birmingham communities.
The event starts at Tin Roof Birmingham. Participants receive a race bib with five vouchers, each valid for a craft beer at any of the brewery stops. Stops this year include All Good Beverage Company, Avondale Brewing Company, Back Forty Birmingham, Birmingham District Brewing, Cahaba Brewing Company, Good People Brewing Company, Hop City Birmingham (TBD), and TrimTab Brewing.
Included with registration is a commemorative t-shirt and a post-event party with music at Tin Roof, featuring prize giveaways. This is noted as a grassroots event where participants choose their own route between the stops and which stops they visit. Maps are provided, and volunteers are available for assistance.
Registration is open to ages 21 and over. Day-of registration is not available; packet pickup is for pre-registered participants only. A schedule indicates the last beer pour is at 3:00 p.m., with a door prize drawing starting at 3:30 p.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
