About the race
The UAB Rare Disease Fun Run is the second UAB Undiagnosed Disease 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run held on February 27, 2027, at Railroad Park, 1600 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233.
The event raises awareness for the UAB Undiagnosed Disease Program and aims to increase knowledge about rare and undiagnosed diseases. It brings members of the local community together to support people living with these conditions.
Participants may include runners, walkers, ruckers, stroller users, cyclists, and wheelchair racers. The event offers multiple distance options and is described as inclusive of a range of participant types.
All participants receive finisher medals. The 5K offers chipped bibs for participants who choose timing, and race results will be available after the event. The timing company is The Right Time. Packet pick up will be offered at multiple locations listed closer to the race.
