Tough Tater Duathlon sponsored by Subaru of Charlottetown
The Tough Tater Duathlon takes place on May 24, 2026 at the Afton Community Centre in New Dominion, Prince Edward Island. It is the first duathlon of the 2026 Triathlon PEI summer season and offers two race formats with age requirements:
- Sprint: 5 km run, 16 km bike, 2.5 km run. Ages 16+
- Standard: 10 km run, 32 km bike, 5 km run. Ages 18+
Running sections use out and back routes on some rolling hills. The bike loop includes areas of new pavement and some rougher sections; large bumps on the bike course will be marked. The run and bike routes will remain open to traffic and signs will alert drivers that a race is in progress.
Participation is limited to a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 50 entrants. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers for this event. The first 20 registrants will receive a Tough Tater stainless steel mug. Prizes are offered to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race category, and all entrants will receive a keepsake. Members of Triathlon NS, Triathlon NB, and Triathlon NL do not need to purchase a Triathlon PEI day membership. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
