The venue is described as a heavy-duty aggregate site with massive sand bowls, exposed loose gravel ridges, and deep industrial quarries. The terrain is open to the elements and the fine, shifting silt can turn into a thick, shoe-snatching paste when water is added. The 15K format lists 20+ obstacles and the 5K lists 12+ obstacles. Named obstacles include Ladder to Hell, Cage Crawl, and Everest, with specific features such as a 15-foot ladder, a 48-foot water pit with limited breathing space, and a greased 13-foot quarterpipe.
