The Totem to Totem Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Ketchikan, Alaska. The event covers 13.1 miles along a coastal route and is open to runners, walkers and relay teams. Course, aid and logistics
The planned route begins at Rotary Beach (Bugge's Beach) and follows Tongass Highway along the water, through downtown Ketchikan, onto the Joseph C. Williams Sr. Kee-Nax Coastal Trail in Saxman, and finishes at Potlatch Park, subject to construction on Tongass Highway. Aid stations are located near miles 4, 5.5, 7, 8.5 and 10.5 and will provide water, Gatorade, snacks, a first-aid kit and a portable restroom. Extra ambulance service will be on duty for medical response. Parking at the start and finish is limited; The Bus will waive fares for participants showing a race bib.
