Torrington Road Race
The Torrington Donors Week Road Race is an annual running event held in Coe Park, Torrington, CT. It has been organized since 1971 and benefits local causes, including the Torrington Trails Network and the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Pink Rose Fund, as well as other local charities.
All distances start and finish in Coe Park. Distances offered include:
- 5 Mile Race
- 2.85 Mile Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5 Mile course was formerly USATF certified (CT00008DR). Entry fees were posted for preregistration and late registration, with reduced fees for participants 18 and younger; the 1 mile fun run is noted as having no entry fee but does require registration.
Prizes are awarded across age divisions from junior through multiple masters categories, plus first overall finishers and the first Torrington finisher. A maximum of one prize per runner is stated, and additional prizes may be awarded based on entries. Winners are required to be present at the award ceremony to receive prizes.
The event is presented with support from community sponsors and partners and is part of local Donors Week activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
