Toronto Carnival Run

Toronto Carnival Run is a Caribbean Carnival–themed run and walk held one week before the Toronto Caribbean Carnival along Toronto’s waterfront. The event uses out-and-back routes that start and finish at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park and run east on the Martin Goodman Trail.

Distances offered

  • 1 km Kids Run, out-and-back, turnaround near Sunnyside Pavilion
  • 5 km Run/Walk, out-and-back, turnaround at Jameson Avenue Bridge
  • 10 km Run/Walk, out-and-back, turnaround at Coronation Park

The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and follows guidelines for safety and race operations; it is not a professionally certified course. Routes are shared with the public and are supported by course marshals. Water stations are placed approximately every 2.5 km and at the finish. Portable toilets and public washrooms are available near the course.

Included with in-person registration are a chip-timed race bib, finisher’s medal, race swag, and complimentary baggage drop. A virtual race option includes swag, a non chip-timed bib, and a finisher’s medal. Toronto Carnival Run operates as a not-for-profit fundraising event with proceeds supporting the Simunye Foundation.
