Toronto Carnival Run
Toronto Carnival Run is a Caribbean carnival themed run and walk held along Toronto's waterfront about one week before the Toronto Caribbean Carnival. The route starts and finishes at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park and follows the Martin Goodman Trail in an out-and-back format.
The event offers chip timed race bibs, a finisher's medal, race swag, and complimentary baggage drop. A virtual race option is available that includes a bib and finisher's medal but is not chip timed. Water stations are provided approximately every 2.5 km and at the finish.
Courses run on shared public trails and are supported by race marshals for guidance and safety. Turnaround points are located in front of the Sunnyside Pavilion for the kids course, at the Jameson Avenue Bridge for the 5K, and at Coronation Park for the 10K. Race kit pick up is scheduled at Vimalife, 276 Carlaw Ave on July 23 and July 24.
The event is organized as a not for profit and directs proceeds to the Simunye Foundation, a nonprofit focused on preserving and showcasing the history of the African Canadian diaspora. Volunteers and community partners support event operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
