Tooth Trot 5K : January 24, 2026
The Brevard County Dental Society presents the 28th annual Tooth Trot, held in Melbourne, FL at Wickham Park Community Center. The event benefits Give Kids a Smile, which provides free dental care to children in need. Race management and timing services are provided by Running Zone Race Management, Inc.
Race format, logistics, awards, and amenities
The event includes 5K Run or Walk, a 5K Competitive Race Walking Division, a Virtual Run or Walk, a Run For The Kids Challenge, and a Lil' Kids Run free to children age 12 and under (parents must sign a waiver on site). Packet pick-up is available at Running Zone the day before the race and at the race site on race day. Technical long-sleeved shirts are provided to the first 500 5K registrants; sizes are not guaranteed. All paid 5K participants receive race medals.
Awards for the 5K Run include overall 1st–3rd male and female, age-based awards (Masters 40+, Grand Master 50+, Senior Grand Master 60+), and age-group awards for 9 & under and five-year groups from 10-14 through 90+. The Competitive Walk division is scored separately with awards to the first 10 finishers. Team awards include 1st place Regular Team and 1st place Dental Team. Amenities listed include ChronoTrack B-Tag timing, participation awards, a visit with the Tooth Fairy, door prizes, and post-race refreshments.
