Event Details
The Tom McHugh Arts Scholarship 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Waterman’s Crab House & Dock Bar in Rock Hall, Maryland. The event includes several activities: a 5 km run, a 5 km walk, a 5 km virtual run option, a free Kiddie Run for children 10 and under, and a Silent Hero donation option.
Registration and Fees
Registration is $30 until October 3, 2026. The fee increases to $35 after that date and on the event day. There is a separate registration time listed on the day of the event.
Awards and Participant Perks
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners, master winners, and the top three male and female runners in 10-year age groups. Top five male and female walk finishers also receive awards. All participants registered for the 5K events receive a "Tom McHugh Arts Scholarship" technical shirt. All finishers of the free Kiddie Run receive ribbons. An awards ceremony is held after the last participant finishes.
Supporting the Community
Proceeds from the event benefit the Tom McHugh Arts Scholarship Award, presented to a Kent County High School senior pursuing arts studies. A portion of the proceeds also supports the Rock Hall Elementary School Arts Program.
