Event overview
The 31st Annual Tom King Classic takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Cornelia Fort Airpark in Nashville, Tennessee. The event includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
Both races are out-and-back courses that are certified and described as fast and flat. Routes pass through Shelby Park and the paved Shelby Bottoms Greenways. The Half Marathon and 5K distances are part of the Nashville Striders 2026 Grand Prix Race Series. Combined field size for both races is limited to 600 participants.
Logistics and amenities
Entry fees listed on the event page are $69.90 for the Half Marathon (includes a $4.90 fee) and $48.70 for the 5K (includes a $3.70 fee); prices increase after January 4, 2026. The Half Marathon is open to ages 4 - 95. Registrations by February 12, 2026, are guaranteed shirts: long sleeve tech shirts for Half Marathon registrants and long sleeve cotton blend shirts for 5K registrants. Finisher medals are provided for Half Marathon participants. No pets are allowed.
Hydration will be available in the start/finish area and on the Half Marathon course; this is subject to change. Early packet pickup is Friday afternoon at Shelby Park Community Center; race morning packet pickup is at Cornelia Fort Airpark and requires photo ID. Same-day registration is available until the published cutoff. Parking is free at the community center and in airpark grass lots and adjacent streets; parking is limited.
