Todd Beamer Memorial Run
The Todd Beamer Memorial Run is an annual July 4th race held at Sahalee Park in Madras, Oregon. The event offers multiple distances that follow the same general course and includes both running and walking options for the 5k distance.
Buses transport 5k and 10k competitors to their respective starting points on Grizzly Road. The 10k course is mostly downhill, enters Madras from the east with views of the Cascade Range, and has the first four miles on gravel with the final two miles on blacktop. The 5k follows the midsection of the 10k course. The 2-mile event is an out-and-back from the start/finish area. An award ceremony follows the races at Sahalee Park.
