Run The Rock - Terrebonne, OR - November 7 - 8, 2026

Run The Rock is a loop-style trail racing weekend held within Smith Rock State Park and the Crooked River National Grasslands near Bend, Oregon. The event features three distances and courses that pass the sheer rock faces of Smith Rock and offer views of the Cascade Range from Mt Hood to Mt Bachelor.

Course highlights include single-track trails, sections of double track and dirt roads, and significant elevation change. The 50K course visits most park trails, climbs Misery Ridge, runs below the Monkey Face rock formation, loops around Gray Butte, and records about 5500 ft of elevation gain and 5500 ft of loss. Eighty-five percent of the 50K is single-track and there are four fully stocked aid stations.

  • 50K - 5500 ft gain and loss; 85% single-track; 4 aid stations.
  • 25K - new for 2026; 3300 ft gain; two full aid stations.
  • Half marathon - 2500 ft climbing; 90% single-track; one full aid station.

Registration opens April 1, 2026 at 6:00 AM PT. The event policy states there are no transfers. Cancellations more than 30 days before the race receive a 50% credit toward the same event the following year; cancellations within 30 days receive no credit or refund. Organizers also note that if the race is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, refunds or credits will not be issued. A 25% discount is available to veterans and active military with prior email contact and military ID; discounts are nonrefundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
