TMC A-Mountain race day in Tucson
This event day at 267 S Avenida del Convento, Tucson AZ, offers multiple running distances around A-Mountain and along the Santa Cruz Riverpath.

- Four-Miler 4 Miles
- SAR FitKidz Free Mile for children 12 and under
- Run Tucson Family Mile 1 Mile for ages 13 and up
The half-marathon route circles the summit of A-Mountain then continues on a mostly out-and-back section along the Santa Cruz Riverpath. There is a four hour time limit for the half marathon. Public safety procedures may require participant pick-up if needed.
Early-registrant items and awards are provided for the half and 4-Miler. Up to the first 600 half-marathon registrants receive a technical race shirt and a souvenir medallion. Up to the first 400 4-Miler registrants receive a race shirt and medallion. Age group winners receive gift certificates to The Running Shop and prize money is offered for top finishers.
The SAR FitKidz mile is free for children 12 and under and includes kids goodies; parental participation is allowed and all participants must be officially registered. The Family Mile is timed for participants 13 and over, carries a $5 fee, and does not include a shirt or medal; a souvenir shirt may be available for purchase on race day.
The half-marathon is part of the SAR Running Shop Grand Prix and the event serves as the third race of the 2026 Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown, raising funds for BEYOND-Tucson. Post-race food and drinks are planned and a discounted drink is offered from Westbound. Remaining shirts and medals are available at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell, on a first-come, first-served basis through November.
