About the race
The Thomas Jefferson High School Color Fun Run/Walk is an untimed community event on the school grounds in Clairton, PA, held to raise funds for Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness and to support school needs such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive and the Holiday Gift Fund. Participants run or walk a marked course that uses part of the cross country terrain; the 5K route includes some rough sections and will be properly labeled.
Color effects are an integral part of the event. There are six color stations along the course where a cornstarch-based powder is thrown on participants, and all participants join a Color Blast before the start. The organizer notes allergy considerations related to the color powder.
Registration details are specified by date and benefit packet contents. Registrations completed by October 12, 2026 include a black t-shirt, a drawstring bag, and two individual color packets; a reduced registration fee applies for the no-t-shirt option. Registrations after October 12 may not include a t-shirt but will receive a drawstring bag and two color packets. Donations are optional; any donations made will go toward the Holiday Gift Funds. A run packet pickup may be held on November 5, with further information provided by email.
