Tissington Trail Marathon & Half Marathon
The event is scheduled for 26 April 2026 at Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Mappleton Road, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. It uses the traffic-free Tissington Trail, a former railway line that follows a 13 mile route between Ashbourne and Buxton. The marathon is run as an out and back on this trail, rising towards Parsley Hay on the first half and returning slightly downhill to Ashbourne Leisure Centre. The organiser sets a six hour cut off; entrants who expect to take longer should contact the organiser for guidance.
Advance entry prices are listed from £38 to £42 and on the day entry is shown as £45 subject to availability. Entry age limits in the listing are 18 and over for the marathon and 17 and over for the half marathon. Route maps and GPX files are available for download from the organiser. Included items noted by the organiser are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners.
