Tissington Trail Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on 26 April 2026 in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The event is organised by Nice Work and uses the Tissington Trail, a traffic-free former railway line. Distances offered:

Course and logistics

The trail follows a 13-mile route from Ashbourne to Buxton and is used for an out-and-back marathon. The route is described as multi-terrain and undulating, with an uphill section to Parsley Hay on the outward leg and a slightly downhill return to Ashbourne Leisure Centre. There is a six hour cut-off for the marathon.

Advance entry prices shown are Marathon £42 and Half Marathon £38. On-the-day entry, subject to availability, is listed as £45 for each distance. Entry is open to those aged 18 and over for the marathon and 17 and over for the half marathon. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Detailed route maps, including GPX files, are available. Organisers note parking is available in Ashbourne town centre and a small car park at the leisure centre; local bus services run from Derby to Ashbourne Leisure Centre.
