About the race
Derby Running Festival is scheduled for 1 August 2027 at Elvaston Castle Country Park, Elvaston Castle, Derby DE72 3EP. The event offers timed races around the estate and an event village with food and drink options.

The course follows a flat multi‑terrain route on a mixture of trail, tarmac and footpaths through the grade II listed grounds, passing the hall and the Golden Gates. The race is Run Britain/UKA licensed and officially measured. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop.
Minimum ages apply: Half Marathon 17 years, 10K 15 years, 5K 11 years. Water is provided on each lap and at the finish. Portable toilets are available in the event village and a secure baggage marquee operates with baggage tags attached to race numbers. Parking is available on site; the showground overflow car park is free to runners and spectators on the day, with the main car park operating pay and display after the event. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams and dogs are not permitted for runners or spectators. There is a four hour cut off for the race.
