Derby Running Festival
The Derby Running Festival takes place on 2 August 2026 at Elvaston Castle Country Park in Derby. The event marks the fourth year of the 5k, 10k and Half Marathon festival around the castle grounds.

The course follows a flat multi-terrain route on a mixture of trail, tarmac and footpaths, running through the castle’s Grade II listed grounds and passing the hall and the Golden Gates. Each race is officially measured and Run Britain/UKA licensed.
Course specifics include elevation and lap details: the Half Marathon has 37 m elevation and comprises four laps plus one short out-and-back; the 10k has 18 m elevation and two laps; the 5k has 9 m elevation and two laps. All races use trail, tarmac and footpath surfaces.
Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. The organiser provides marshals to guide runners and an event village with food and drink options, including free items from partner providers.
