Tissington Trail January Half Marathon & 10k Weekend
The event is a weekend of road-free races on the Tissington Trail in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, held on 23 and 24 January 2027. The trail follows a former railway line toward Buxton and is traffic free, with a gentle uphill on the outward leg and a slight downhill on the return.
Races are offered on both Saturday and Sunday so entrants may choose one or both days. Route maps and GPX files are available for download. The course provides views over the Derbyshire Dales and finishes on the trail.
What is included for participants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. On-the-day entry fees listed in the event information are shown as Half Marathon £45 and 10k £35. Entry eligibility is stated as 17 and over for the half marathon and 15 and over for the 10k.
Race headquarters is at Ashbourne Leisure Centre on Clifton Road, a short walk from the start on Mappleton Road. There are several pay and display car parks in the town within walking distance of Race HQ. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
