Litton Christmas Cracker
A festive run from the village of Litton around Miller's Dale and Cressbrook. The course is 11.8 km with approximately 510 m of ascent. The event is organised by Wainwright Running Ltd and is licenced by the Fell Runners Association.
Registration is at Litton Village Hall, SK17 8QX. Parking in Litton village is limited so car sharing is recommended. Toilets are available at the Red Lion Inn. Mulled wine, tea, coffee and mince pies are served at the finish.
Entries open on 1 July 2026 and close on 10 December 2026. Entry fees are listed for FRA members and non members. The event has a maximum capacity of 250 runners. Minimum age for entry is 19 with the requirement to turn 20 by 31/12/2026.
FRA rules apply and competitors must carry the mandatory kit listed in the race information; organisers may relax kit requirements depending on conditions. The use of GPS navigation or poles is not allowed and running with dogs is prohibited. Fancy dress is encouraged. Prizegiving includes individual and team prizes across age categories, with teams composed of three runners. Current course records stand at 00:44:54 for men and 00:54:19 for women, both set in 2025.
