About the race
The Litton Christmas Cracker is a winter fell race held on Sunday 13 December 2026 from Litton village. The route runs around Miller's Dale and Cressbrook and covers 11.8 km with approximately 510 m of ascent. Registration takes place at Litton Village Hall, SK17 8QX.
The event is licensed by the Fell Runners Association (FRA) and governed by FRA rules. Competitors must be prepared to carry the full FRA kit; organisers note this requirement may be relaxed depending on conditions. GPS navigation and poles are not permitted. Running with dogs is not allowed. Breaching rules may result in disqualification.
Prizes are awarded for individual and team categories across standard age groups, with prizegiving supported by local suppliers. Facilities include toilets at the Red Lion Inn and refreshments such as mulled wine, tea, coffee and mince pies at the finish. Parking in Litton village is limited.
