The Litton Christmas Cracker is an off-road fell race starting and finishing at Litton Village Hall, SK17 8QX. The course runs around Miller's Dale and Cressbrook. Distance and climb are 11.8 km and 510 m. The event is described as festive in character and fancy dress is encouraged.
Event details and rules
The event is licensed by the Fell Runners Association (FRA) and is governed by FRA rules. Runners are expected to carry full FRA kit, although this may be relaxed depending on conditions. The use of poles is not allowed. Toilets are available at the Red Lion Inn and parking is in Litton Village. Prize categories cover multiple age groups (M Open, W Open, MU23, WU23, M40, W40, M50, W50, M60, W60, M70, W70). Entry fees listed are FRA Member £12.00 and Non Member £14.00, and the event is currently full so no new entries can be made. The organiser is Wainwright Running Ltd.
