St. Patrick-Themed Running Event
The Time to Paddy 5K/10K and Lucky 13.1 is a themed running event held at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda. This occasion provides various distances for participants, ranging from short sprints for children to a half marathon. The event features a St. Patrick theme throughout the course and activities.
Participants can select from several race distances:
- 50m Kid's Dash for children ages 10 and under.
- 1 Mile untimed run.
- 3.1 Miles (5K) chip-timed race.
- 6.2 Miles (10K) chip-timed race.
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon) chip-timed race.
The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon events include chip-timing with live results and awards. Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To ensure shirt availability, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before the event. Special pricing is available for youth participants aged 12 and under in the 5K and 10K categories.
A team registration option is available for groups. If a team reaches five members, each participant receives a partial refund, which increases if the team reaches ten members. There is also a contest for the largest team in attendance. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is offered, allowing participants to complete their chosen distance at any location.
