Event overview

The Timber Trails 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI (133 Fitzgerald Park Dr.). The event is organized by Eaton County Parks and Recreation and is listed as the 9th annual Timber Trails edition. The course runs over grass, gravel roads, and wooded trails with varying elevation. The race is open to all ages. Packet pickup takes place the morning of the event. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted live.

Registration, fees and awards

Registration opens April 12, 2026. Entry pricing is $25 through October 4, then $30 thereafter. Group/family pricing is available: registering three or more people at the same time reduces the fee by $3 per participant. Donors receive entry discounts: a $50 donation yields a $10 discount and a $25 donation yields a $5 discount; proceeds will benefit Eaton County Parks & Recreation trail development. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by September 18.

Awards include Top Overall Male and Female, Top Masters Male and Female, and medals for the top three runners in each male and female age group: 10 & under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
