Timber Trails 5K Run/Walk
The Timber Trails 5K takes place at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge. This annual event is held in a scenic setting featuring varying terrain. Participants follow a route that includes grass, gravel roads, and wooded trails. The course features ranging elevations throughout the park.

The run/walk is open to participants of all ages. For the starting lineup, runners position themselves at the front while walkers stay toward the back. Participants walking the course must cross the finish line within 90 minutes of the start to receive an official recorded time. An early registration period is available, which includes a long-sleeve t-shirt for those who sign up by the designated September deadline.
Awards are presented to the top overall and top masters male and female finishers. Medals are also awarded to the top three runners in specific age categories, ranging from ages 10 and under to 70 and over. The race is professionally timed, with results posted live during the event. Proceeds from the registration fees are designated for trail development within Eaton County Parks and Recreation.
