Christmas-Themed Running Event in Lansing
The Candy Cane Course is a holiday-themed sports event held in Lansing, Michigan. This annual gathering features multiple race distances designed for participants of various ages and interests. The event focuses on a festive atmosphere and provides participants with specific race-day items including a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 15k (9.3 Miles) chip-timed race
- 10k (6.2 Miles) chip-timed race
- 5k (3.1 Miles) chip-timed race
- 1 Mile untimed run
- Kids Dash 50-meter untimed dash for children aged 10 and under
- Virtual Race distance option for remote participation
For the timed distances, the event provides chip-timing with live results and awards. Free photos are also made available to those taking part. A specific option exists for individuals who wish to volunteer before participating in their chosen race distance. At the conclusion of the course, treats are provided for runners at the finish line.
The Kids Dash is specifically tailored for younger participants and includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a themed medal. Children who do not require these items may participate in the dash at no cost on the day of the race.
